Video Game Expos: Trade shows for the video game and computer game industry. These events are the “big daddies” for the video game industry and are usually attended by thousands of video game fans, celebrities, gaming industry professionals, and journalist.
The video game industry is similar to other entertainment industries in respect to total audience and just like any other form of entertainment fans have their favorites. Video games tie into many aspects of sport and entertainment. There are sporting video games, movie tie-in games, and interactive games (sing along star and guitar hero). The gaming industry creates thousand of jobs and generates millions of dollars in revenue annually. The industry is pretty volatile and today is dominated by the big three: Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft.

For the past 3 years I’ve been in the trade show industry and some of the biggest shows are the video game expos. I believe it’s the advancement of technology that attracts such a large crowd to the different expos. The technology that some of the more popular games use is always amazing. You will find an assortment of people that attend and for many different reasons. As you might figure, the video game industry bleeds into so many other industries and there is a massive amount of money that is made in each industry.
