I am considering travelling to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. My life long passion, the sport of BMX, will be a featured discipline at the Games for the first time in history and I'd love to make the trip to spectate. Additionally, I'd like to visit China becasue of it's ever increasing presence in global trade, etc. I found a website that has travel packages to the Games available.
The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation has held the Games of Texas for several years. Different Texas cities bid on the games, as it brings a large amount of athletes from all over the state. The Winter Games of Texas was established and held for the first time in 2006. The Winter Games have been held in Frisco (they have a five-year contract). In 2007, over 4,400 athletes participated from all over Texas. This has been a great opportunity to showcase our City. www.taaf.com
