Event Food and Beverage
Event food and beverage falls under the category of event logistics and hospitality. Food and beverage are the eating and drinking choices that event attendees are offered, it can range from chips and popcorn, to full service meals provided by a catering company or a full service restaurant inside the facility.
The food and beverage selection during today’s entertainment and sporting event has escalated to a whole new level. Gone are the days of ordering nachos, popcorn, or a pickle, although these items are fan favorites and are still readily available at events, but today’s events offer specialty items such as steaks, buffalo wings, Mexican food, and fried anything. The beverage offerings have also undergone a face lift, there are now full service bars and pubs inside facilities that offer an array of mixed and specialty drinks.

One of the things I enjoyed the last time I was at American Airlines (this October) was a food stand that served Texas State Fair Food. I thought that was a great marketing tool and a very clever way to promote local events together. There wasn’t one person that did not stop to look at the menu. That concession stand represented something familiar to a lot of people and because of that, even I found myself standing in line to order Texas State Fair Food.
